Mir Rolodex conducts independent research and analytical work focused on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, governance, social cohesion, religion, identity, and Afghanistan’s political and social development. Our research is informed by a combination of academic study, professional experience, and firsthand knowledge of Afghan society and its cultural, religious, political, and social dynamics. Through this work, Mir Rolodex seeks not only to understand Afghanistan’s past and present, but also to explore future-oriented approaches to peace, stability, reconciliation, and inclusive development.

Our research is particularly informed by the founder’s ongoing academic study in Peace and Conflict Resolution, as well as years of living, studying, and working in Afghanistan and engaging directly with Afghan communities and institutions. This experience provides an understanding of the cultural, religious, linguistic, and social considerations that shape conflict and peacebuilding in Afghanistan, including how competing identities, interpretations of religion, historical grievances, political exclusion, and social divisions can influence relationships and contribute to conflict or reconciliation.

Mir Rolodex produces research publications, policy briefs, analytical papers, academic articles, and informed commentary addressing both long-term and emerging issues affecting Afghanistan. Areas of interest include peace processes and reconciliation, religious narratives, governance, national identity, ethnic and social relations, women's participation, youth, migration and displacement, institutional development, and the future of Afghanistan. Our research aims to connect academic analysis with practical realities and to develop forward-looking ideas and policy perspectivesthat can contribute to a more peaceful, inclusive, and stable Afghanistan.

An important component of our work is creating spaces for group discussions, dialogue, webinars, roundtables, and expert conversations. These activities are intended to bring together Afghans from different backgrounds, academics, researchers, civil society representatives, professionals, and international stakeholders to exchange perspectives and examine difficult issues through respectful and constructive dialogue. We recognize that sustainable peace requires more than political agreements; it requires opportunities for people with different experiences, identities, and perspectives to listen to one another and develop a shared understanding of Afghanistan's future.

Mir Rolodex also seeks to develop partnerships and collaborative research initiatives with universities, research institutions, NGOs, think tanks, civil society organizations, and independent researchers. Through these partnerships, we aim to support evidence-based research, encourage informed public discussion, and contribute to a broader body of knowledge about Afghanistan and its future.

Our long-term vision is to make research and dialogue a bridge between Afghanistan’s past experiences, its present challenges, and possible futures. By combining academic research with lived experience, cultural and religious understanding, and engagement with diverse Afghan perspectives, Mir Rolodex seeks to contribute to practical conversations about peace, reconciliation, social cohesion, responsible governance, and a more peaceful future for Afghanistan.
